Creator Program

A small, early group of pixel artists who help shape the site. Founding spots are limited; every application is reviewed by a person.

What you get

  • Pixel-perfect, at any size. No recompression, no smoothing. Visitors zoom in and see your pixels, not mush.
  • Credited every time. Every remix of your piece says “Remixed from” with your name, and there is a credit line ready to copy.
  • Yours, on your terms. All rights reserved by default. Open it up with CC BY or CC0 only if you choose to, piece by piece.

Made by people, labeled when it isn't

Art made with SimplePixelArt's AI tools always carries an AI label, on the card and on its page, and an edit can't take it off. Your hand-drawn work sits under your name, under the license you picked.

How it works

  1. Apply. Tell us where you post. It takes a minute.
  2. Publish a few pieces. Upload at least three, your own work. Drafts stay private.
  3. Get your badge. We review every application by hand, then add the badge and the credits.

Making game assets?

Draw tiles, set up auto-tile terrains, and export straight to Godot, Tiled, Unity or Phaser. Publish the tileset and it gets a page of its own with your name on it. Open the tileset editor

Frequently asked questions

Who owns the art I publish?
You do. Pieces are all rights reserved by default; you can choose CC BY or CC0 per piece if you want others to reuse it.
What happens when someone remixes my piece?
The remix links back to your original and names you. You can see how many remixes a piece has on its page.
Is there AI art on the site?
The site has an AI generator. Anything made with it is labeled AI on the card and on its page, and the label can't be removed by editing.
Does it cost anything?
No. The program is free, and Founding Creators get starter credits for the paid tools.
Can I take my work down?
Yes, any time. Unpublish or delete a piece from Your work.
